CELTA DELTA Short TEFL courses Videos Tutors Reviews
Sweet Memories of Years Past and Places too!
Hi everyone – we started making videos quite a while ago. Here you can see a few ‘good memory captures‘ at different points of our story as a training centre.
All schools have such stories and memories to share – here are ours.
The first one was created for our 7th anniversary – in the year 2000 – and it was made with Photo Peach, a Flash video maker which is now extinct. The site allowed user comments which we are very grateful about, all of them by our past trainees on CELTA, DELTA courses and their predecessor courses, Introductory Methods Course and the Cambridge DOTE and DTEFLA.
Then we changed platform – in 2010 we learnt about Animoto, a fantastic platform where you make short videos and clips from images and short video captures – we tried it with one of our summer CELTA classes – if any of our readers recognise yourselves in that video, we still remember you and treasure the memories!!!! Leave us a comment below! You might want to turn the sound down a bit on this one!
In 2013, we hit a milestone of 20 years in our Academias Street centre (more if we count the year 1989 which was the start year of CELT. I made a short video with numbers – it was great fun to make and again some of you may recognise yourselves.
And here is our most recent one made on a 24 years milestone – this one was done after we had moved to a larger and much more modern centre on Gennadiou street – not far from the previous location.
Videos of Free Webinars in the last few years
During the last few years, we have presented numerous free webinar topics- you can read the topics and dates on this page here.
They span the last decade which is really when conference talks began to be recorded and shared online. Here is one of the earlier ones on creating creative teachers which was presented in 2015 to launch the volume of Creativity in English Language Teaching, edited by Alan Maley and Nik Peachey – with a chapter contributed by Marisa Constantinides on helping teachers develop their creative thinking skills. The volume is free to download here
