CELT December 2025 News Bulletin
Dear Friends and Colleagues Past, Present and Future,
This is our annual Christmas newsletter wishing you all the best for the Festive Season wherever you are in the world.
This past year has seen a lot of unrest and conflict on our planet – as teachers, we need to do our best to educate young people for peace and collaboration with other humans, regardless of race or creed.
Foreign language teachers are in a unique position to create bridges between languages and cultures, promoting tolerance rather than fear, compassion rather than hate, and empathy rather than antagonism or aggression.
May the Christmas spirit inspire you to be the best teachers you can be and to create lessons that bring students together wherever they are from!

The CELTA tutor is not only someone who assesses a trainee’s performance against a set of criteria, but someone who actively roots for their progress, believes in their potential, and, crucially, helps them see what they’re capable of becoming.
