This may happen one day, and sooner than we think. Today, there are millions of learners worldwide who have opted for this mode of learning because of its convenience and immediacy.

Teachers who work online are becoming more and more common and much of our training and development has now started being offered online as well!!!

How you will benefit from this course

Teaching online involves a skillset which teachers need over and above their knowledge of language, analysis, skills development and pedagogical principles governing teaching a foreign language.

This course will prepare you to be a more skilled teacher and will help you acquire confidence and criteria for choosing and using the best applications and tools for your teaching.

Assessment & Certification

Trainees are assessed through a Practical Teaching Assignment. This involves writing a lesson plan for an online class or a a set of materials for online delivery.

Trainees who attend the course fully and complete their assignment receive a Certificate of Attainment.

For Cambridge Delta Candidates

If you are thinking of following the DL Specialism  (see below) for your Module 3 Assignment, this is a great course which will steer you in the right direction and offer you support while writing the project.

Tuition is 600 euros for additional units needed for Module 3 assignment writing, assignment writing support – an additional 100 euros in Cambridge assessment fees is required if you submit your assignment through CELT Athens.

Teaching learners online, through distance/blended learning (DL)

Module 3 Specialism on Online/Blended Learning

Module 3 Assignments
Before the end of the course, candidates are required to submit a proposal in writing about their assignment topic focus. Once their tutor has approved of the topic proposed, candidates are expected to write it and submit drafts to their tutor for commenting before they finalize their assignment.

Assignments for Module 3 are 4,500 words in length and must be submitted to the centre in their final draft form before the end of May or November each year in electronic form.

The centre uploads assignments to the Cambridge ESOL website.


adobeCandidates should have a fast internet connection, a headset and a webcam for tutorials and input sessions which will be delivered in our online classroom.

For Moodle, there are no special requirements

Candidates for this specialism will be given access to a range of online journals, articles, videos and other resources,  but they should also be prepared to purchase some books themselves, especially if they do not have access to the CELT Athens library.

moodleOnce you have applied and paid your tuition fees, you will be registered and given a course key to enter the Moodle course website and follow your course using your user name and password.

After the end of the course, DELTA Module 3 candidates are expected to research, draft and submit their Extended Assignment to CELT Athens for the June or the December session.
