Most trained teachers will be familiar with the Presentation-Practice-Production (PPP) construct of the early days of Communicative Language Teaching and most likely only model taught to early career teachers. Yet, research and experience suggest that its effects are very short term and that long term acquisition is more likely to occur through Task Based Language Teaching (TBLT). In this free online workshop, I will attempt to demonstrate some ways in which TBLT can work with different types of lesson focuses.
